Il tempo di residenza è stato calcolato sulla base della circolazione della laguna di Venezia, con le strutture fisse del mose, riprodotta da un modello idrodinamico (SHYFEM) applicato nella sua versione tridimensionale barotropica sottoposto a di forzanti di marea e vento reali. La mappa riporta il tempo di residenza calcolato su tutti i livelli, l'unità di misura è il giorno.
